Destiny Eidolon Ally gameplay review

Hours ago, we told you that a brand new hotfix for Destiny had gone live. More importantly, it fixed a bug to now allow players to correctly obtain the Husk of the Pit weapon. As a result, you can upgrade the Husk of the Pit to the Eidolon Ally and we can now bring you some gameplay to show you what it is capable of.

This is what we love about Destiny. The Husk of the Pit looks like it isn’t anything special and some unassuming players out there may not realise that it is upgradeable.

It’s easily missed, but you’ll be glad once you know that it takes a Embalming Orb to transform it into something better. The Destiny Eidolon Ally is a Legendary Auto Rifle, equip-able in the primary weapon slot and deals out Kinetic damage.

For those asking how to upgrade the Husk of the Pit, it is simple. You just have to get an Embalming Orb from Eris Morn, Dark Below vendor which she’ll give you in exchange for 10 black wax idols – check out the main Eidolon Ally stats above.

If you really want to know what this weapon is capable of in terms of damage potential and how it looks in-game, we have picked out one excellent Destiny Eidolon Ally gameplay review from the guys over at Planet Destiny.

Of course, this isn’t a gun which you will want to hold onto forever though, as its real purpose is upgrading the Eidolon Ally to the Necrochasm – which will be available in January with the Crota’s End raid in hard mode.

For now, check out this new footage that we have for you below and give us your own thoughts on the Eidolon Ally.
