Destiny E3 gameplay trailer and release window

If Destiny is one of your must buy games for 2013, then hopefully you would have seen the brilliant live demonstration of the game during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference. If not though, don’t worry as we have the video for you to watch now, with Bungie also confirming a release date update for us as well.

Destiny is easily looking like one of the best games to look forward to and now we know for sure that Destiny is going to have a 2014 release date. We initially thought the game would be out towards the end of 2013 on Xbox 360 and PS3, but at E3, Bungie confirmed that the game is coming out next year instead.

Not that this is a bad thing. The graphics are looking immense it has to be said, while we’re already hearing a lot of feedback from fans who say that Destiny is like a merge of Halo and Borderlands – two amazing and popular franchises. Activision has released a new Destiny E3 trailer for you to enjoy, but you will definitely appreciate the live demo more.

Bungie took to the stage during Sony’s E3 press conference and played through some parts of the game live, which we presume is running directly on PS4 hardware. As you watch through the demo, you need to be reminded that the video was taken from a live stream of Sony’s event, and if you watched Sony’s official stream you’ll know that there was certain moments of lag during the broadcast.

Towards the end of the video, you’ll see the exciting moment when you realize you can suddenly stop your current objective and join a ‘public event’ with other players of the game. This then turns your usually quiet environment into a full out battlefield and it looks like great fun when playing online with friends.

We’ll include both videos here, with the E3 live demo above and the main trailer below. How excited are you for Destiny? Perhaps the question we should be asking is: Will you buy the game on the Sony PS4 or Xbox One?
