Destiny 2.2.0 update live with April patch notes

Everyone is excited about the Destiny April update on Tuesday April 12. We know that most of you are already well drilled on the release time, but others are still asking what time the Destiny April 12 update is out.

To give you a heads-up on this, it should be at 10am Pacific Time. This is the standard time for Bungie to roll out their patches after the Weekly Reset.

That means 1pm Eastern Time and 6PM UK time, since the UK is now on BST as opposed to GMT – make sure you are aware of that!

As for the Destiny 2.2.0 patch notes, Bungie will be revealing them in a more appropriate format here on their website, but they have already given plenty of information out through previews and live streams on Twitch.

A summary includes things like new PVE Challenges and gear, new quests, increased max light and rewards and also sandbox and crucible updates.

Don’t forget that there’s also PlayStation exclusive content in 2.2.0 – we have discussed this in previous articles here and here.

We’ve added Bungie’s most recent Twitch stream below which covers the Sandbox and Crucible changes that are on the way.

However, you should also head to the main Twitch hub and navigate to the right-hand side of the page. Here you can view all previous streams which are archived and get a clearer idea on everything that is coming in the new Destiny April update.

Are you excited? Not long to go, leave your thoughts on the build-up to release below. Tell us when it’s live in your area and the file sizes and download times involved, as it could be a stressful day when it comes to install time.

Update: The Destiny April update is now live on Xbox One! Install size is 1825MB, have fun downloading that at the same time as millions of others.

Still waiting for PS4, stay tuned!
