Design Change For iPhone 5 Release?

We are only a few months away before a new iPhone is likely to be showcased at the annual WWDC event. After the iPhone 4 was released with new technology like the Retina Display, Apple had completely redesigned the handset from its predecessor. So will we see the iPhone 5 design changed again?

When the 3GS was launched some thought it didn’t offer something really new compared to the 3G, yes it was quicker and had more on-board storage, but didn’t really amaze in the usual Apple way. The iPhone 4 despite its well documented problems with dropped signal was a complete redesign.

It is thought that the internals of the iPhone 5 will be different, according to a report on Read Write Web; the device will now run on a combined CDMA/GSM/UTMS chip from Qualcomm. This will allow the handset to run on both AT&T and Verizon in the US, and around the world.

Apple may decide to completely redesign the antenna because of the problems with the iPhone 4, and NFC technology has already been mentioned for the next handset from Apple. Some people might like a bigger display, especially as gaming gets better for the device.

Do you think we will see many changes on the next iPhone? What would you like to see?
