Denon HEOS 1 Go Packs recall – Check your serial number

If you own one of the Denon HEOS 1 Go Packs, then you will need to check to see if yours is part of a new recall. These accessories for the HEOS 1 portable speaker system were recalled yesterday, although no numbers of their manufacturer dates were detailed.

However, we would advise you to head to Denon’s website where you are able to check the serial number of your HEOS 1 Go Packs, to see if you have one of the affected packs.

Reason for the recall – There is a risk that the pack, which contains a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery could overheat, and so presenting a fire hazard. We have seen what happens with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 when it overheats, and so you can understand why Denon are being cautious.

If you do have an affected pack, you are asked to stop using it immediately, and please remember to check in the link above to see if yours is one of those affected models.

We don’t yet know the details of what happens if you do have a faulty model, but we do know that it is part of a battery replacement program, although not certain how you will get yours replaced – as we very much doubt they would be safe to send in the post.
