Demon’s Souls sequel dead

Any hopes of a Demon’s Souls sequel are dead after the games publisher confirmed the title would not be continued. Atlus put the rumors of a Demon’s Souls 2 possibility to bed, announcing the bad news to some fans on the PlayStation Blog.

Atlus PR Manager John Hardin responded to rumors of a sequel and did not pull any punches by personally saying “I can 100% confirm there will NOT be a Demon Souls 2.” The developer of Demon’s Souls, From Software did release a similar title in Dark Souls which WILL be getting a sequel. Dark Souls 2 will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 this month.

Dark Souls 2 may also be getting a PS4, Xbox One and PC release too as the game was reportedly developed using next gen engines. Gamers sore after missing out on Demon’s Souls 2 may want to consider this new game as an alternative. We discussed yesterday how Sniper Elite 2: Nazi Zombie Army may calm frustrated players who are missing Call of Duty Zombies.

Now that it has been confirmed that Demon’s Souls 2 is dead, will you be looking for alternative options soon?
