Having previously brought you news in which Dell had promised to launch a notebook that would include Intel’s Sandy Bridge processor, we can now confirm that Dell have launched their new Inspiron R series notebooks.
The range includes 17.3”, 15.6” and 14” laptops each with a choice of interchangeable lids with designs and patterns from SWITCH by Design Studio and is powered by a choice of Intel’s Core processors, the i7, i5 and i3.
The main features include Intel’s WiDi which allows 1080p streaming with 5.1 surround sound to nearby displays or HDMI 1.4a port if wires are preferred, 8GB RAM, optional mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and an HD webcam.

The three new notebooks are available in the U.S with the Dell Inspiron 17R costing the most $579.99, the 15R costing $529.99 and the 14R costing $579.99. The UK will also get the 15R and 17R costing from £479 and £529. For different lids it will cost £29 or $39.
