Dell was once the one to beat in the computer market, but as time went by they have slipped down the table. There are many factors to this, although it is refreshing to see they did not give up and instead has embraced what is popular — well as much as they can anyway.
You have to hand it to Dell, they do seem to have perfect timing because they have just released two new products, both of which could do rather well in the build-up to Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is not us saying this but them on the Dell website where you will see yet another product being launched as well, the Dell OptiPlex 3020 Desktop.
Let’s look at the XPS 11 2-in-1 with its wonderful mix of machined aluminum and tough carbon fiber, which all leads your eyes to the vibrant Quad HD, 2560 x 1440 display.
The Dell XPS 11 2-in-1 specs vary from the 4th Generation Intel Core i3 Processor to the i5. There’s also 4GB of RAM and a choice of 80GB, 128GB and 256GB SSD. Price starts from $999.99.
As for the XPS 13 Ultrabook, the model comes with a 13.3-inch display, but looks bigger than it is because it is an edge-to-edge screen. Specs for this device include a 4th-gen Haswell chip, Intel HD 4400. Other specs vary once again, so you have a choice of i3, i5 and i7 processors, 4GB to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB to 256GB of RAM
The base price for the 2013 XPS 13 Ultrabook is $1,049.99. Both these devices can be purchased now from the Dell website.
