Dell analysts had some confident sales predictions for the computer makers third quarter, which they exceeded according to Dell’s third quarter profit results. Dell’s statement shows $913 million of cash flow generation, and commercial enterprise revenue up 33 percent.
According to Aaron Ricadela on Bloomberg, cheaper prices for computer components had helped Dell service consumers that are worried about home budgets during the economic slowdown. Dell’s CEO plans to increase business in networking gear, data storage and servers.
Bloomberg also looks at Dell’s refresh of “aging information-technology systems”, and the possibility of Dell investing in consumer business that finds more distribution channels for its home computers.
