Earlier today we discussed a new app called Heads Up by Warner Bros. and appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Having downloaded the app I can see the appeal, because it will bring a lot of fun to many households. However, things are not all positive though, as the same issue has reared its ugly head once again.
This is because the Heads Up app for Android release has been delayed, which seems to have opened old wounds once again. It seems that Android users have been ignored once again, and it’s not like this is the first time an app has gone to the App Store long before the Google Play Store.
There is a fake version already on the Play Store, but it does seem funny why these app developers are not keeping up with the trend and offering these popular apps to Android users. It’s like these devs are favoring iOS users, and this only fuels the fire for fake versions of a trending game, which are full of bugs and other issues.
A fine example of this was with Temple Run, because this became one of the most popular games at the time, yet was only available to those with an iOS device. If you had an Android smartphone or tablet, then you had to wait a long time and look at the smug faces of those iOS users. Having said that, I’m an iOS user and never had a smug face.
Do you think it’s about time these app developers gave us the service we deserve and release new apps on all platforms, or those that matter? It’s such a shame because Heads Up is such a great app, and deserves to be made available on the Google Play Store.
