The Daylight PS4 and PC review verdicts are in and while some gamers are hoping for results to paint a positive picture of a game with a lot of unpredictability, the fact is the reviews reveal a survival horror game lacking in something truly special. This led to some very low review scores for Daylight on PC and PS4, which mostly deliver ratings of 3 to 4 out of 10.
We have included two video reviews below this article that sum-up the game in a few minutes, so take a look at these if you want to see a quick Daylight PS4 / PC review. One of the videos is thanks to GameSpot and the other is published by IGN, although both crush any hopes of Daylight being the ideal horror game.
You will see condemnation continue in a number of written Daylight reviews on both PS4 and PC. GameSpot tag their Daylight PC review with “The Bogeyman has been banished”, and rate the game an extremely low 3/10 score that’s also named “Bad”. You can read the in-depth article here that explains exactly why they arrived at that score, but in a nutshell it’s due to the scary parts being predictable and storytelling stated as “Terrible” by the GameSpot reviewer.
Destructoid offer a slightly better 4/10 and claim the game is below Average with a few high points, which soon “give way to glaring faults”. At least this review reveals something worth playing as a rent/hire only, but certainly not worth buying in their opinion.
Video Gamer played for 3 hours and found Daylight on PC to be one of the “most boring” horror games they’ve played in a long time, although their review is a lot shorter than the others and doesn’t offer much insight.
Have you played Daylight on PS4 or PC, if so what would your review score be out of 10? Leave a comment below this article with your opinion of Daylight, although make sure you check out the gameplay videos below along with their review scores first.
