Availability of the Apple Watch in the UK is set to increase if a new rumor is anything to go by, as it is reported that this wearable has been spotted on the Currys/PC World inventory system. If this is in fact true, then it could be a major boost for Apple, as it aims to compete with other smartwatches in the United Kingdom.
Apple has slowly been increasing the availability of its Watch through third-party retail outlets, and including Currys and PC World would be a huge deal for Apple seeing as though Dixons group has a huge number of retail outlets and a massive online presence in the UK.
However, most of this increased availability via third-party retailers have been in the US, and so this would be a huge deal for Currys and PC World, as they would join an exclusive group.
There are concerns that offering the Apple Watch to high street retailers such as these could lower the perception that the Apple Watch is a piece of jewellery. This is because you currently have a special experience while trying on this device in the Apple Store because of it being a more luxurious item — especially the more expensive model.
Do you feel that it is appropriate to see the Apple Watch at the likes of Currys and PC World?
