If you are the owner of a Crompton Lamps White ES-E27 LED light bulb, then you will need to check its product number, as you could have one of the affected models that are currently being recalled.
The model in question is the GLS Opal 14W Warm White ES-E27, which is one of the LED Dimmable ones. The reason for the recall is due to a risk of being shocked. You are asked to stop using the bulb right away and to contact Crompton Lamps Ltd customer services, which you can do so by calling +44 (0)845 612 8151.
If you think you have an affected model, then we ask that you check the product and manufacturing date code, which are LGES14WW-DIM and 3214 respectively. The image below shows you where to find those codes.
This is the screw-in type and is white in color complete with a plastic diffuser and metal casing. Crompton Lamps Ltd sold these bulbs, although some professional electrical wholesale supply distributors within the United Kingdom were also allowed to sell them.
3380 bulbs are said to be affected by this recall, and there have not been any reports of injury, which is a good thing. Once again, we ask that you contact Crompton Lamps Ltd, the phone number of which we have supplied for you above.
