As you may know Croma is a retail chain in India and because of how huge they are, they have commissioned their very own Windows based tablets with Intel. The Croma 1179 and 1177 tablets are an 8-inch and 10.1 inch, with the latter being of the 2-in-1 design.
No doubt the first thing you will want to know are the prices, and so the Windows 8.1 Croma 1179 8-inch tablet price is Rs 13,990, and the Croma 1177 2-in-1 will cost you Rs 21,990. The only way you will be able to purchase these two devices is either at Croma retails stores or their website.
How these two tablets differ — First up we have the Croma 1179, this 8-inch tablet comes with a 1280x800p display and has an Intel Atom Processor Z3735D processor with a clock speed of 1.33GHz. There’s also 2GB of RAM, a 2-megapixel front and rear-facing camera and 32GB or internal storage. This can be increased thanks to microSD support and its 5000mAh lithium polymer battery should give you a decent amount of battery life.
As for the Croma 1172 2-in-1 tablet, this has a 10.1 display allowing you to convert the device into a laptop if you so desire, and also comes with the same specification cameras. It would seem that most features are pretty much the same, and so it is only size and the ability to convert from a tablet to laptop that makes these two models different.
Times of India says that Croma has yet to announce the release date of the 1179 and 1177 tablets, and none have been made available for the media to test, and so we will just have to wait until the retailer offers more information as to availability.
