If you own an Apple iOS device and you enjoy playing dual-stick shooters, then I think we have some news that could well be of interest to you. Crescent Moon Games — the developer behind the recently released Gears — has just unveiled its new Deadlock dual-stick shooter game for iOS.
According to Jared Nelson over at toucharcade.com, the ambitious new game will feature both cooperative and competitive online multiplayer for up to eight players. Deadlock will initially come with 5 levels and 3 different game modes, including Capture & Hold, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch.
One of the big features of the Deadlock game according to Jared, who has spent a bit of time playing a preview build of the game, is the robust load-out system, which he claims has a few similarities to recent Call of Duty titles. The game will feature over 30 different weapons.
This is said to include sub-machine guns, assault rifles, grenades and pistols. Players will also be able to upgrade their weapons with various attachments that offer additional damage or better aiming. Users will be able to equip different types of armor that can affect their stats as well.
The developer is currently aiming for an early June release for the Deadlock game. You can view a couple of screenshots over on the toucharcade.com website. Do you like the sound of the upcoming dual-stick shooter for iOS?
