Crash Bandicoot PS4 reboot given glimmer of hope by Sony

For all you Crash Bandicoot die hards out there, we have a little bit of news which may make your day. Many of us are holding out for a Crash reboot on the PS4 and Sony has given a glimmer of hope by posting a picture of the beloved character on their official Danish Facebook page to celebrate the holidays.

We know that Sony do not own the Crash Bandicoot IP at the moment and this indeed lies with Activision. However interestingly it was reported that Activision recently closed down the Crash Bandicoot website they were running and deleted all references of it from their own official site.

As you can imagine this has led to rumors that the IP has been sold off behind closed doors and that this mystery buyer is Sony. Should this be the case there is a reasonable chance we could see Naughty Dog develop a Crash Bandicoot reboot which would jump and spin its way over to our PS4’s in the future.

Naughty Dog is apparently working on two PS4 projects at the moment, one believed to be the next Unchartered game; and the other is unknown. Whilst it may be wishful thinking to assume this is a new Crash game, it would certainly be a hugely popular choice with fans. Sony said we can expect big things in 2014, lets hope that this is one of them!

Would you like to see Crash Bandicoot get a return on the PS4, or is it one of those classics that should be left alone?
