Crackdown 3 Xbox One demand Vs Gear of War

Xbox One fans around the world are bracing themselves for a big announcement this morning. We told you about this in an earlier article here, but it looks like clues are suggesting that the game reveal could turn out to be none other than Crackdown 3 for Xbox One.

What a fantastic conclusion it would be if true. Crackdown is easily one of the most popular Xbox franchises out there and a Crackdown 3 release date in 2014 would be something special to look forward to for sure.

There’s no confirmation that the announcement is definitely related to Crackdown 3 yet, but the clues are certainly there. Just take a look at what Crackdown developers Ruffian Games put on their Twitter page a few hours ago:

As we await more information on the prospect of seeing Crackdown 3, give us your thoughts on whether you would want to see the game on Xbox One in the near future?

Update: Well, it turned out that the announcement wasn’t a new game at all. No Crackdown 3, but something related to Gears of War. Microsoft’s big announcement was the fact that they have bought the rights to Gears of War from Epic Games.

You can read about the deeper meanings behind this in a statement here. Are you secretly wishing that it was Crackdown 3 though – it seems as the sheer hype as once again proved to be another disappointment.

Are you still hopeful to see Crackdown 3 on Xbox One, or are you more concerned about the future of Gears of War now?

Or if they came out and said that Gears of War 4 will be released in the coming months then I would have been moderately excited.
