Crackdown 3 still alive on Xbox One

When Microsoft recently announced that they had a big reveal to make, speculation was running wild on whether it could turn out to be the unveil of Crackdown 3. Unfortunately that didn’t happen as it was Gears of War related, but you’ll be pleased to hear that we do have some new Crackdown 3 rumors to share with you this week.

We could see your disappointment after the announcement in which everyone thought it would be a new game reveal. Halo 5, Crackdown 3 and a new Gears of War were mentioned, but we’ll have to wait a long time to see all of these come to light.

Focusing on Crackdown 3 though, there are new rumors swirling around that a release may be coming in 2016. An insider has apparently leaked information suggesting that Crackdown 3 is codenamed ‘Nimbus’ and will be worked on by Cloudgine.

You may be thinking about Ruffian Games initially, but further evidence suggests that one founder of Cloudgine also worked on the first Crackdown game.

Considering it is very early days though, we can not be too sure of anything yet – so treat this with a big pinch of salt.

Head to the link above at Neogaf and let us know if you think they could be correct. Is 2016 too long to wait for Crackdown 3 or is your body ready?
