Comic Relief 2011: Red Nose Day iOS App Keeps you Updated

Comic Relief’s 2011 Red Nose Day is just ten days away now and while many of you will be sat at home watching all the events on your television, others may not be able to. However, thanks to the Red Nose Day iOS app, they won’t have to miss any of the action.

As Jessica Furseth at notes, the Red Nose Day app, which is free to download from the Apple App Store, keeps users up to date with all the latest Comic Relief events and gossip. It also enables them to view the RND Twitter feed, so they can see exactly what the celebrities are tweeting.

The app also provides users with a selection of games, such as the “Pick-a-Nose” game, where the more they pick their nose the more respected they will become and the “Ask Monkey” game, which sees the Red Nose Day mascot giving players the benefit of his wisdom.

As noted on the website, the Red Nose Day in Your Pocket application includes great features such as a special video introduction from Claudia Winkleman, a countdown clock to this year’s Red Nose Day (Friday March 18th) and a totaliser that shows the amount of money raised from the Comic Relief event.

The app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, but does require the Apple device to be running iOS 3.1.3 or later.
