As we told you recently, the COD Ghosts Invasion DLC release date for PS4, PS3 and PC platforms is on the way soon. It has been a month since the content released on Xbox but now it is time for everyone else to have their fun with the latest map pack.
The content will arrive on July 3, but we can tell you that a COD Ghosts PC update has gone live already in preparation for the Invasion patch. Infinity Ward is starting the prep earlier than expected and now PC owners can log in to the game to see some fresh changes.
More specifically, we are very pleased to tell you that the COD Ghosts spawn killing problem on PC has finally been addressed by Infinity Ward,
Here is the official word on the major fix in the latest update for PC players:
“Spawn system has an improved ability to select better spawns when valid spawn locations are limited.”
There has also been a notable weapon balance change in this update, affecting the ARs, SMGs and LMG classes – you will no longer be able to perform one hit kills with one shot to the body and one shot to the head.
That change is sure to ruffle a few feathers, but generally a solid balance change by Infinity Ward we feel. As usual, there are the standard anti-cheat measures that the developers have made improvements to as well.
If you are a PC player, check out the full patch notes here and let us know how your game plays after the changes made to spawn locations.
