COD Ghosts Invasion weapon after 3 new maps

We know that Invasion will be the official COD Ghosts DLC 3 Map Pack, but so far Activision has kept fans waiting with an official announcement. Fortunately though, it looks like there has been a slip up before E3 as we now have some official Call of Duty news regarding Invasion to share with you.

Invasion will be the next release for the game and it will be the third content to arrive as part of the COD Ghosts Season Pass. Although we will probably get the official Invasion reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2014 conference, it looks like somebody has pressed ‘live’ a little too early on the Call of Duty website.

Screenshots have been captured before premature assets could be taken down, confirming at least 3 of the 4 maps that will be included in Invasion. We can now tell you that these will be Pharoah, Mutiny and Departed – with Pharoah looking the most interesting out of the three so far.

Those of you who enjoyed vertical based maps such as Favela in the past may take a liking to Pharoah as it seems to adopt the same structure.

We also know that the next COD Ghosts Invasion Extinction episode will be called Awakening. That’s all the information that we have so far though so obviously the COD Ghosts Invasion trailer must be coming very soon after the website leak.

When it comes it should confirm the last map for us and also what players will receive in terms of the COD Ghosts Invasion weapon that will follow the Ripper.

These DLC weapons have become extremely popular in multiplayer, so tell us what you would like to see for the new weapon this time. The Ripper’s special ability was a dual function SMG and Assault Rifle so would you like Infinity Ward to offer another hybrid type weapon or go for something completely new?

The reveal could come at any moment so stay tuned.
