As many gamers will be well aware, the latest map pack for Call of Duty Black Ops, titled Escalation has been out on the Xbox 360 for almost three weeks now, but you’ll be pleased to hear that we now have some good news for those of you with a PC copy of the game.
Developers Treyarch have just announced that the Escalation map pack for PC will be available to download via Steam on June 2nd as reported from VG247. That is almost a month exactly since it first became available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on May 3rd.
For those of you who still don’t know, Escalation adds four new multiplayer maps and a brand new zombie map. The multiplayer maps are Stockpile, Zoo, Hotel and Convoy, while most of you won’t need us to tell you that the brand new zombie map is called Call of the Dead. You can check out our guide here for the main easter egg in that mode if you missed it a few weeks ago.
Sadly, there is still no official release date for PS3 gamers. This is quite unusual since Treyarch usually announce PS3 and PC release dates together. Perhaps this has something to do with the uncertainty surrounding the PlayStation Store. We’ll keep you updated on this.
