COD Black Ops 2 guns showcased in multiplayer

Are you excited about Black Ops 2 yet? After months of teasing, we’re slowly closing in on the global November 13 launch date. To get you warmed up for multiplayer mode, we have an excellent new video to show you, analyzing some of the new guns that will be featured in multiplayer.

The game doesn’t release for another two weeks or so, but some of you may have already had a chance to play multiplayer at various gaming events across the world. One of these events was the recent Eurogamer Expo in September, as Treyarch brought all of their big guns, including David Vonderhaar down to London to give gamers an exclusive first play of one of the maps from multiplayer, complete with some brilliant live commentary to give you a taster of the new eSports mode built into the game.

If the crossbow was one of your favorite weapons from the first Black Ops game, you’ll be pleased to hear that the weapon is making its return for Black Ops 2 and it has been given a futuristic makeover. The gun was actually pretty annoying when used in Gun Game, but there has been two main changes to the way the crossbow handles in Black Ops 2 and it should make it more easier and balanced to use.

Firstly, the recoil has been adjusted on the crossbow to make arrows hit their target more easily, with less movement in the air. Treyarch has also added in the option to equip three sets of arrows at once, with even the chance to fire multiple arrows at the same time if your target is closer and you need a quick kill. You’ll see in the demonstration below that you can now also customize your crossbow with attachments such as red dot sights and grips to make it even easier to score a kill.

Moving on, a new version of the popular SCAR rifle can be seen, along with a glimpse of the new guardian killstreak which can be placed anywhere on the map and can emit rays which take out the enemy as they move within its radius. The gameplay also gives you a look at the Five Seven pistol with a laser sight, the M27 rifle which plays like your standard M4 and also the Vector which features a large aiming display that reminds us a lot about the heartbeat sensor from the first game.

Finally, there is also confirmation that snipers have the chance to equip tracer bullets as they fire bullets from a distance. It means that if you miss, your teammates will be able to track a white line and see what snipers are shooting at and can follow up for the kill if a certain enemy decides to camp it out in a specific part of the map – Treyarch did send out a warning that they were planning to combat camping in the game.

Check out the video below for yourself and enjoy the new gameplay from the Hijacked map. What gun are you most looking forward to using in Black Ops 2? We really like the look of the new crossbow and we can’t wait to see what the prestige options for it will be once you have leveled it up to full potential.
