COD AW M1911, MP40 release for Xbox One, PS4

We have some good news for Advanced Warfare players now. Despite the fact that Black Ops 3 is on the horizon, you’ll be pleased to hear that fresh content is still coming to Sledgehammer’s game – now with the confirmation of brand new COD AW M1911 and MP40 weapons for Xbox One and PS4.

As usual, the new weapons will be arriving on Xbox One first and we can already give you the release date for Xbox. Sledgehammer has said hours ago, that the Advanced Warfare M1911 pistol and the MP40 sub-machine gun will be available on September 29.

This has surprised many players, given the fact that the MP40 is a weapon that was primarily used in the war – hence it’s inclusion in COD World at War and after that, Nazi Zombies.

However Sledgehammer are bringing it into a futuristic setting and you’ll be able to start using it once you find one of four MP40 Variants inside Supply Drops on September 29.

The M1911 is another fan favorite too, but if you own the PS4 version you may have to wait up to a month to use both weapons.

Sledgehammer has not given out the Advanced Warfare MP40 or M1911 PS4 release date, only to say that they are coming ‘soon’ – the same applies for those with a PC copy.

Enjoy the first images of the MP40 and the M1911 here and tell us if you are excited to use them. PS4 owners may be unhappy with the wait, but at least fresh content is still coming for the game and don’t forget – the exclusivity deal switches back to PlayStation for Black Ops 3.
