COD Advanced Warfare Dedicated Servers update on PS4, Xbox One

While most of you have been having a good time playing COD Advanced Warfare, others have run into problems, specifically frequent COD Advanced Warfare lag during online multiplayer.

As a result, there has been an increased demand to see a COD Advanced Warfare Dedicated servers update on PS4 and Xbox One – now we can bring you a status update from Sledgehammer Games regarding the feature.

Just to recap, the developer has already confirmed that Dedicated Servers for COD Advanced Warfare will be on the way, they just didn’t give a time frame for when it will be happening.

Now, just hours ago Sledgehammer Games decided to respond to persistent questions on Dedicated Servers and have had this to say on their forums:

“Also, we’ve been asked several times about the status of dedicated server support. Activision shared this statement earlier this week:

Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system. Our goal is to ensure the best possible connection and greatest gameplay experience regardless of location and time of day.”

While it’s not the information you wanted to hear regarding a confirmed COD Advanced Warfare Dedicated server release date on PS4 and Xbox One, at least the developers are aware that the community needs it badly.

PC players will also get this feature of course, since they have had it as a priority above console owners in previous games. Does this need to change and Sledgehammer need to look after console players more?

Let us know if you need Dedicated Server support badly and how your multiplayer experience is online at the moment.
