COD: Advanced Warfare Capture the Flag in multiplayer

Call of Duty Ghosts replaced Capture the Flag with Blitz and thanks to a screenshot landing on Twitter, it looks like COD Advanced Warfare will be bringing back this multiplayer mode and we certainly welcome it.

The tweet was by Michael Condrey from Sledgehammer Games, which not only confirms Capture the Flag in COD Advanced Warfare but also the factions you’ll find when playing online as well. These online teams will be Sentinel and Atlas (starring Kevin Spacey), although we still need to learn a lot more about multiplayer and see if the killstreaks are balanced correctly like Sledgehammer is promising.

You can see the mentioned tweet above along with the in-game screenshot revealing Capture the Flag text above the lobby. In this image you can see 6 vs. 6 in CTF multiplayer, but you’d need to wait a little longer to get full details on what’s possible in the Advanced Warfare version.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has a release date right at the start of November and will launch on Xbox One/360, PS4/PS3, Wii U, and PC.

Why worry about the balancing of kill streaks, when the elephant in the room is how do you balance traditional ballistic weapons with energy weapons, like the laser guns that have been confirmed. It is like a “balanced” racing game having motor cars versus horses. CoD have “jumped the shark” with their laser and super jumping which was rather unashamedly ripped from Titanfall. My wife will be happy, though. It is $150-$300 (I normally get the prestige edition) I won’t be spending this November.
Much more excited about Destiny & BF Hardline.
