COD 11: Advanced Warfare hype for Kevin Spacey

Are you hyped up for the COD 11 Advanced Warfare release date? The game is coming this November as standard and the first tease for the game has really created a great discussion point for the COD Advanced Warfare story – which is all thanks to the inclusion of a certain Kevin Spacey.

In another example of the global pulling power that the COD franchise now has, gamers are now going to be treated to Oscar royalty when Kevin Spacey lends his talents and performs the role of Jonathon Irons, a ruthless CEO of a private military company called Atlas.

Those of you who have been enjoying watching Kevin Spacey in House of Cards on Netflix may already be pondering on some similarities between his character in Advanced Warfare and his character Frank Underwood on the TV show.

In a recent interview with Game Informer, Spacey even connected the two characters himself by saying the following interesting details:

“I think they both enjoy making s— happen and not playing by the rules, which in a game is the ultimate disruptive act.”

We think gamers are going to be in for a treat with Spacey as the star of single player mode and obviously it is a massive coup for Sledgehammer Games and Activision.

We can see this trend continuing now in the future, with gamers eager to know who will be the next major celebrity lined up for the Call of Duty treatment. The series may have had its criticisms recently, but you really can’t fault Activision and Sledgehammer here in delivering some top Hollywood talent.

What is your reaction to the fact that not only is Kevin Spacey providing his voice in the game, but actual motion capture work too for the full package?

Is this a great move for the Call of Duty franchise moving forward? Which other celebrities would you like to see introduced at a later stage – Arnold Schwarzenegger would be our pick!
