Clocks go back 2013 on iPhone, Android reminder

If you live in the UK, you are probably looking for information on when do the clocks go back for 2013. We are approaching the end of the British Summer time officially, and most of you are wondering how this will affect your iOS and Android devices when the change happens overnight.

We can confirm that the exact time for the clocks going back in 2013 is Sunday October 27. BST will officially end during the hours of Sunday, so make sure you are fully prepared for this. When you go to sleep, those of you with manual clocks will want to change the clocks back one hour, as at 2am the time will then revert back to the GMT time zone or Greenwich Mean Time.

However, those of you on iPhone or Android shouldn’t have to do anything at all. Many users have been asking whether their iPhone or Android device will change the clock back automatically overnight. It has happened this way in previous years, so we don’t see why it won’t happen again.

Having said that, there has been some issues with the iOS clock systems in the past, but hopefully the changeover will happen issue free and everyone in the UK will wake up having had an extra hour’s sleep.

Put it this way, we would be very surprised if Android and iPhones couldn’t put the clock back automatically these days, considering how smart our little mobile companions are getting.

Consider this a friendly heads-up for Sunday, but let us know if you have had any amusing issues happen with your alarm clocks in previous years during the time zone changeover.
