Clear Xbox One cache cures not loading games

Recently we had to clear the Xbox One cache to get games to load correctly, which happened after installing the latest Xbox One update. This is the first time we had to reset the Xbox One cache since we purchased the system at launch, so it’s pretty good going, although if you don’t know about clearing the cache and run into problems loading games then you’ll want to learn.

You have two ways to clear the Xbox One cache that includes powering down the system and unplugging the power cord. If you opt for this choice, then make sure you wait around 5 second after the power light disappears before turning back on. The other option is to just hold the power button down for 10 seconds, this is the button on the front of your system, and what this will do is power down the Xbox One and clear its cache.

We run into problems getting Forza 5 to open on Xbox One, no matter how many times we clicked the icon it wouldn’t load the game. Even turning the power off and on again didn’t help, but holding down the power button for 10 seconds changed everything. After we reset the Xbox One cache, it returned and allowed us to open the game right away.

Have you had problems with games not loading on Xbox One? Did the clear Xbox One cache option get you back up and running again?
