Clean install Mavericks OS from USB on video

Have you managed to install Mavericks yet to your Mac computer, courtesy of Apple and their free download this year which has taken many consumers by surprise? If you haven’t updated, you should give it a go, but now we have a video to show you, giving you the option of a clean install of Mavericks from a USB drive.

For the easy option, you can just go to Apple’s website and install the software over the top of your existing version of Mac OS X. It’s a very easy process and doesn’t take long at all depending on your internet connection and how fast you can install a 5GB file.

However, some consumers may want a clean install of Mavericks instead, which will avoid any potential issues with incompatible software from the previous version, whilst also helping to remove any third-party apps that run in the background which you don’t particularly want to deal with.

The problem with a clean install of Mavericks though, is that it isn’t as straight forward as a simple upgrade. Fortunately though, there are plenty of videos on YouTube to help you with this very situation and you’ll be pleased to hear that we have added a couple for you below.

The first hows you how to create an OS X Mavericks USB Installation Drive. This is needed for the first step of a clean Mavericks install, while the second video shows you how to install everything once you have your USB device set up and configured correctly.

Providing you follow the steps, you should be able to manage this just by watching the videos below. Let us know if you are now running a clean version of Mavericks or if you have any problems to tell us about below.
