Classic Amiga Platform Game: Qwak now for iPhone

Fans of classic retro arcade games who own an iPhone or iPod Touch will soon be able to get one of the all-time greats. The classic Amiga platform game Qwak, is due to be released on June 8th 2010. The game has been totally re-envisioned for release on to the devices.

Players must leap, duck, and dash through 70 levels, gaining high scores and shiny bonus items. On each level are some golden keys, which will open the exit door after all of them are found. The game is played at a quick pace; as if you spend too much time on a level spikes will rain down and place your duck in danger.

The game contains rewards and secret bonuses to find. The further the player progresses the harder enemies become. Qwak’s original designer has helped to develop the iPhone version 22 years after the game was first released.

Qwak will be available on the App Store for $2.99. Mac and PC versions are currently being offered for a 50% discount until the release of the iPhone version. Find this offer and get a free demo of the game via the developer’s website.
