With Fiat soon to be breaking into the U.S through their collaboration with Chrysler, it seemed highly likely that two would be sold alongside each other out of the same showrooms. However, this is not the case according to a report by The Detroit Bureau.
Sergio Marchionne, Fiat Chrysler’s CEO confirms this, adding that 200 all new Fiat stores will eventually be opened. These new stores will cater for both sales and service, with a reported cost of approximately $1 million each. And the outlay doesn’t end there, with a likely $100 million needed to be spent on marketing their new brand.
Fiat’s popular 500 will be arriving first towards the end of the year, with the later acquisition of other models to follow. It has been a long time since Fiat has has any presence in the States, and it will be a lot of work to establish themselves with such a large audience.
