Google has launched the Chrome 74 first beta with a few updates including removing animations and adding support for Windows dark mode, feature policy API, and private class fields.
If you’re running Dark Mode, then you’ll find the browser will automatically set its darker theme, which is completely different to the normal brighter look even with the Google logo.

If “Reduce Motion” or “Remove Animations” has been turned on in your settings for Mac, Windows, Android or iOS then animations and motion should be respected to make sure videos don’t play automatically and certain visual effects don’t take place.
Chrome 74 is still a beta and some websites will want their effects played, so we expect some problems and unwanted experiences will still exist. Read the full release notes over on the Chromium Developer Blog.
