Christmas Tree Decorating: 15 Ideas For 2010

Christmas is almost upon us, and is now the time that families start to think about how to decorate their tree. There are so many decorating ideas kicking around, but choosing the right one can often become a daunting task. You can always count on HGTV to offer some great advice on such things, so they have 15 ideas for your tree in 2010.

You may wonder why they are looking at new ideas this year; the simple answer is that styles always change? Having looked at all 15, I can see that some ideas are more inspiring than others; although I have to remember that we all have different tastes.

The first idea is to go with shiny baubles; by adding glass decorations it adds a designer touch to your tree. There are two ways you can go, classic or contemporary; so once you have made your choice you can go from there.

Another great idea is to get the family involved and do a bit of family bonding by way of DIY ornaments. These can be as hard or simple as you like, it all depends on your skills. We have been told that you can make your own tree decorations from old books, ribbon etc.

However, always a favorite is going for a truly patriotic tree. This means that you will have ornaments that are red, white and blue in color, this can in some cases overpower a tree, but I am sure that there are those of you out they who do not care about that.

These are just some of the ideas; visit HGTV for all 15 tree-decorating ideas.

How will you be decorating your tree this Christmas?
