Christmas Launch for Saints Row 3: Release Details

News has been a little hard to come by, but we can now tell you that it will be a Christmas 2011 launch for Saints Row 3. One would have thought that THQ would have announced release and game details early next week, as all the media will be discussing in the announcement of the iPad 2, which we are also guilty of.

As you may well know, this is the third game from the franchise, and a holiday season launch will certainly help in sales. THQ had better hope that Grand Theft Auto V is not released in 2011, which is what rumors suggest. However, fans of the Saints Row franchise will much prefer this, as it is like GTA on steroids.

According to CVG, the “3rd Street Saints” will now have to battle it out with a new gang called the “Syndicate.” Things do not get off to a good start, when the new gang demands respect for the Saints. It does not take a genius to work out that a battle ensues; how it ends is up to you.

If you want a game that does not involve you taking on stupid tasks, then you should not even think about Grand Theft Auto; but if you want a game that sees you fighting gangs to become the head of a controlling gang, then Saints Row 3 is a must. The new game will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and even PC.

Do you think that Saints Row is a better franchise than GTA?
