A fun new application for young children has just been released for owners of the iPad. Elephant In My Pocket 1.0 is a Talking, Rhyming eBook which will keep children entertained while they learn

Released by Jolly Books, the talking animated eBook is all about a girl called Suzy, who meets an elephant while walking to school. Users follow the humorous story as she decides to take the elephant with her to school. The story is accompanied with colorful graphics and music.

With memorable characterizations and illustrations, the eBook is written in rhyme, this will introduce young readers with the underlying structure and rhythm of language.

Rhyming will also teach them the sound of language, and raise phonemic awareness. Users have the option to turn various features on or off; automatic page turning, music and effects, and reading the text aloud.

Elephant In My Pocket 1.0 is available on the App Store for only $2.99. iOS 3.2 or later required.
