If you live in the UK and have split from a partner, or you never got together, but still have a child, then we know that you will be doing research on finding a child maintenance calculator. This tool is very important because it gives you a rough idea of how much you should be receiving.
The most obvious way to find this information out is by visiting the government website, as you will be given up-to-date information on the statutory amount you should receive.
We do believe the UK government is failing in certain aspects of such tools, as they should offer a Child maintenance calculator app, as we are sure more people will use it.
The reason we say this is because there are two child support calculator apps, one for Android and the other for iOS; although they are in need of an update.
First up there is the Child Support app and is designed for the American market. This app will help to calculate the monthly child support or alimony payment you are entitled to, although it does require both parents income and their percentage of custody to come up with a figure. This app has not been updated in three years.
Next we have the Child Support Calculator UK app, which helps to work out how much child maintenance you could expect to receive, and are based on the current rules from the CSA. However, with this app not getting an update since 2013, we have to wonder why no new update has been released?
Come on Gov.uk, sort it out and release an app already, as it’s high time you moved with the times and offered apps of this type.
