Chicken Nuggett Recall: Pieces of Plastic Discovered?

Some worrying news to report to you now, as it has been confirmed that almost 92,000 pounds of frozen chicken nugget products are being recalled in the US, after it was discovered that some bags contained pieces of plastic inside.

According to this report from ABC15, the products originated from Perdue Farms, Inc and the specific product being recalled is the ”1 lb., 13 oz. bag of GREAT VALUE Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets”. Customers will be able to check if this is the exact product, since you’ll find a establishment number of P-33944, and also a BEST IF USED BY date of June 9, 2011”.

After receiving numerous customer complaints, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) discovered that some of these nugget packages contained small pieces of blue plastic, although no injuries have been reported yet thankfully.
