Chevy Corvette Z07 eye candy sparks speculative specs

The 2014 Chevy Corvette C7 Stingray is not yet in the hands of their rightful owners and there is already talk of the Z07 version. Having already seen a few images of this performance version of the latest Stingray, yet more eye candy had become available.

The upcoming C7 is already said to be superb in the performance and handling area, and so having an even better version is something we cannot wait to see. For those of you who do not know, the Z07 will be the successor to the popular Z06, and as such will be all about the performance.

Chevy Corvette Z07 speculative specs — Seeing these latest images has led Hot Rod to take a stab at a few of the specification of the Z07 based on what they have seen so far. It looks as though there will be a removable hard top, and this is not really a surprise because the Z06 came with a small hard top as well. A version with a normal roof has been spotted as well.

Larger wheels, brakes and vents were also spotted, which makes sense seeing as though this model will be about the performance, and so needs the ability to bring the car to a stop at higher speeds. As for the Corvette C07 engine, the easy option would be to use the same 505 horsepower 7.0-liter V-8 naturally aspirated powerplant, but Chevrolet could choose a different option, and that is to use a twin-turbo V-8.

Whatever happens we just hope it does not lose the handling of the C7 because that is one of the biggest features of the new version, but we have a feeling the C07 will be even better.
