Catalyst Wireless Sport Earbuds triples KickStarter goal

You always know when a good product appears on the KickStarter crowdsourcing website, as it will reach its intended goal long before it’s due to end, and this is just the case with the Catalyst Wireless Sport Earbuds from ZipBuds.

They had set their goal at $25,000, and the figure achieved at the time of writing this is just below $80,000what makes this all the more incredible is the fact there are still 42 days to goal in the campaign.

If you were to become a backer of this project, then what you are essentially doing is preordering your pair of Catalyst earbuds. However, that’s not all because as an early backer you will also receive a reward as well, which depends on which offer you opt for.

Now, you can just pledge a figure that you like, although this does come without any reward, but there are 7 in total to choose from, all of which you can see in more detail on the KickStarter website. However, the retail price for these are $249.

So why are these earbuds proving so popular that people have already enabled the company to reach their target way before the deadline? While we are unable to tell you that personally, as we do not have pair to hand, they do on paper sound like a very capable pair or earphones, as many of the problems associated with these devices do look as though they have finally been rectified.

ZipBuds tell you that these are, functional, and classy wireless earbuds that have ever ben made. Now these does sound like they are talking the talk, but looking at the technology and features, we would say they may be on to something here.

What the company have done is create a hybrid driver system that is said to deliver an unparalleled listening experience. These balanced armature drivers are able to isolate high end frequencies, which have remarkable precision, all the time the dynamic drivers are used to to bring the wearer the lows needed, a bit like a subwoofer in that sense.

A whole team has been brought in to overcome many of the issues associated with earbuds, as we know none of them are perfect, and those issues are detailed in the video below. We also get to see how that team of engineers were able to overcome those problems.

We could go on about the technology being used, and how they all work together to give you what ZipBuds believe are the best earbuds you will ever own, but we feel it would be far better for you to watch the video embedded below – just until we have a pair of then to offer you a hands-on review.

If you like what you see, then please head to KickStarter in the link above and donate to the this campaign, and in doing so preordering your pair of Catalyst Wireless Sport Earbuds in the process.
