Casio EX-ZR800 release anticipation for UK and US

The digital camera industry is in a state of flux at the moment, because some people are choosing to leave point and shoot cameras and go for a DSLR instead, as there are some entry-level models that are even cheaper than certain compact cameras.

That’s not always the case, but there is another issue, and that is having a camera that doubles as a phone as well. It is clear there is a market for these hybrid cameras, but not as much as you would think. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is a decent phone come camera, but it is not going to win any awards for style or features.

It is for this reason why we are so happy to see Casio sticking with the compact camera, and even making some much needed changes in order to overcome issues that have caused many camera users frustration over the years.

For those of you who live in Japan then you will be pleased to know that the Casio EX-ZR800 will be headed your way on August 23, 2013. The Casio EX-ZR800 specs are pretty good for a camera of this price, 40,000 yen or $410 give or take.

Speaking of that frustration, we are on about the controls that are often placed too close to each other and so could lead to being accidentally pressed. Looking at the image it does seem as though Casio has come up with a way around this, but we don’t have enough details as to how they have achieved this, that and the fact our source was translated via Google Translate.

There will no doubt be some Casio EX-ZR800 release anticipation for UK and US because there is no clue as to when the new camera will be heading West, but we don’t anticipate it to be too long.
