You have to often ask yourself why would anyone wish to purchase a DVD player, especially when you can pick up a Blu-ray player far cheaper. There are various reason why they would choose one over the other, and both have their benefits, although with prices of the latter constantly falling, the argument for the former is certainly getting much weaker.
We thought we would have a look at two options for you for each multimedia type, with the first being DVD. The Capello 2 Channel HDMI DVD Player is very basic in style and features, but then again it doesn’t aim to be anything else. With its compact design you will be able to place this DVD player in the smallest of places in your home. There is not much we can really say about this device because it is so basic.
The Sony BDPS3100/BF Blu-ray player is very different because it is packed with a host of features, one of which is built-in Wi-Fi. It is this that allows the player to become a sort of set-top box, meaning it offers wireless media streaming.
Not only can you watch Blu-ray movies, but also you have access to a whole media library, which makes this a far better device than the DVD player above.
When choosing between the two you have to ask yourself are you looking for a basic player just to watch a cheaper format movie, or do you believe you will be doing much more, and so would need the Blu-ray player with its choice of more features?
