Capcom: Xbox 360’s Capabilities and Monster Hunter Frontier Online

Capcom have recently revealed why they chose to launch Monster Hunter Online on the Xbox 360, the reason behind this is said to be due to “this console’s outstanding online game playing capabilities”.

An official release date for the game is not yet known, however we do know that it should launch in Japan sometime this summer.

It is thought that a closed-beta for the game will launch sometime mid-May, from what we can see the game will not be launching in any other regions.

It is quite a surprise that Capcom did not choose to launch the game on Sony’s PlayStation 3 especially as Japanese gamers tend to prefer Sony’s products.

Capcom also confirmed that the game will not utilize its MT Framework, MT stands for “Multi-Thread”, “Meta Tools” and “Multi-Target”, this engine has been used in previous Capcom titles such as Dead Rising, Devil May Cry 4, Lost Planet and Resident Evil 5.
