Canon PowerShot G7 X waterproof case stock issues

The Canon PowerShot G7 X is said to be a great Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III alternative, although the former is slightly larger. The two are very close in a battle, although that is for another day, as we are more interested in something that allows photos to be taken underwater with the G7 X. The Canon PowerShot G7 X waterproof case (WP-DC54) is already available, although we have noticed that some stores are experiencing stock issues.

Not all people feel the need for such an accessory, but having the ability to use your Canon PowerShot G7 X in the water opens it up to even more possibilities. The Canon WP-DC54 Waterproof Case will allow you take take photos underwater at a depth of 130 feet, or just under 40 meters.

Once you have fitted your G7 X camera inside the WP-DC54 case, you still have access to most of its functions, and when you need to use the pop-up flash inside the case, it comes with a handy diffusion plate to help soften the flash to eliminate backscatter. You can also make use of other accessories thanks to the cold shoe mount, such as an external flash, which comes with a separate waterproof case, or an optional lighting arm.

There are currently two issues that we can see with this Canon PowerShot G7 X waterproof housing, and those are partial access to the dual control rings, and the fact that Canon USA currently has no stock, although this is not a huge deal seeing as though Amazon has limited stock and at $349.95 instead of $399.
