There’s certainly an abundance of printers to choose from, and so getting the right one is a tough task indeed. The thing is there are so many models out there by different brands, and once you start reading through their features, they tend to start sounding very similar.
Over the years we have found us sticking to the same brand, as this is what many of you tend to do, for us we stick with HP, although this does not mean for one moment that Canon is not any good. Take the Canon PIXMA MX490 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax Machine for instance; on paper it looks to be a very competent model, and with an impressively cheap price today, it’s hard to resist.
This model does have all the basic specifications, such as 100 sheets of paper storage at a time, maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, around 4.4 color pages per minute, and PC and Mac support. Full Canon PIXMA MX490 Printer details can be found on the official website, and you can also download the manual as well.
However, the manual does not offer nowhere enough insight, and this is why there is a review warning with this printer. The copier part of the printer is said to be antiquated, and also prints very slow. The manual does not provide any details to resolve this, and so owners have been contacting customer support instead.
Other Walmart customers have complained that the paper gets bundled up, and at times will not even feed into the printer, and so takes several attempts to ease the paper in.
However, try not to let some of these negative reviews put you off, as it’s not too bad of a printer when you consider its price.
