Canon EOS 70D vs. Nikon D7100 – Stills and video functionality

The Nikon D7100 had enjoyed its time on the market and without any competition from a new Canon DSLR. However, all that changed recently with the arrival of the Canon 70D, and having already seen a comparison or two we thought it was time for another look now people have had some time to spend with the 70D.

Canon EOS 70D vs. Nikon D7100
— It comes as no surprise these cameras should be pitted against each other because they are competing in the same market, so how do they compare in regard to several stills along with video functionality?

The video that you are about to see below focuses on the major differences between these two cameras, with most of the time in the review spent on the stills and video functionality. You will also get to see the advantages and disadvantages of the 70D and the D7100 to help give you a greater understanding of how they perform.

However, even before they get started on this they look at the design and physical dimensions of each camera just to see how different Canon and Nikon have gone about designing these DSLRs. Both cameras do have exceptional build quality, although the Nikon D7100 has been made with a more superior material.

You do need to stick with the video because it does go on for a little while about the exterior of each camera, but trust us, the main part of the review is worth the wait because it is in-depth and should help make you decide which of the two best deserves your money.

Having said that, it is worth noting both have something different to offer, and so you need to have a clear head about what you will be using your camera for.
