The Canon EOS 100D, or Rebel SL1 as it is known in the States, has been on the market since March, and in that time has proved to be a very capable DSLR. While this camera does not offer the kind of experience that you could expect from the 700D, it’s a great alternative for those who want to move away from the confines of a compact system camera.
Canon EOS 100D (Rebel SL1) performance — Now the low-cost DSLR has been on the market for almost three months we thought we would have a look at how people review their latest purchase, and gauge an idea as to its real life performance, rather than an estimation from Canon themselves.
Below we have three videos for you to study, the first of which looks at how the 100D could be the biggest and most important DLSRs in recent times, because it’s not meant for professionals or even those looking for HD video quality, but could still be a game changer. In order to understand just what they mean, then you will need to view the first video below.
The second video looks at how noticeably smaller the Canon Rebel SL1/100D is, and the fact that it is currently the smallest DSLR on the market. In the video review they have paired the camera with the Canon 40mm f/2.8 Pancake lens, as they believe this is the perfect lens to use with the model.
The third Canon EOS 100D/Rebel SL1 review discusses how Canon has managed to shrink down all of the components in order for it to fit into such a small body. While the video does go over all that you need to know about the camera, we can’t help feel it’s a little too scripted when compared to the other two.
Overall the Canon EOS 100D (Rebel SL1) is a very capable DSLR, but how do you feel three months on?
