Call of the Dead tips, simple guide for PS3 gamers

Now that PS3 gamers can get their hands on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation DLC we thought we would help out some of you who will be playing the new Call of the Dead zombies map. We have had roughly 2 months to perfect routes and progress, therefore we thought we would post some tips which should help get you started.

Tip 1: Let’s start with George Romero, if you shoot at George he will come running after you and take you out 1 by 1, the only way to make him see sense is to cool him off by leading him to the water, you can kill George Romero with pack a punched weapons like the scavenger, but he does come back.

Tip 2: If you want to progress through the Call of the Dead zombie map you will need to pack a punch your weapon at some point, you can only use pack a punch when the lighthouse’s beam of light is shining on a certain areas of the map. Follow the light and you will find the pack a punch.

Tip 3: The VR-11 doesn’t just turn zombies into humans, in fact once transformed the human will act as bait for the zombies, however this human will run to the closest pool of water and freeze to death. The best plan is to use it as far from water as possible, such as at the top of the lighthouse. One thing to remember is that zombies will chase the closest human, so just because you have some livebait out there it does not mean that you will not be pursued.

Tip 4: Don’t open all routes, now this is an obvious one for any zombies gamer, however it is not obvious to everyone, simply put if clear all of the debris you will have zombies coming at you from all angles. Over time you will find out what paths work best for you, personally I like herding the zombies up by the bottom door of the lighthouse near the AK74U. If you try this tactic I would recommend keeping the bottom door locked.

Tip 5: Don’t be fooled by the box, now this one is more of a personal opinion than a rule to follow. I find that constantly spending cash on the box is a complete waste of points, as an estimate I would say that 70% of the time you get a weapon which you don’t really want, why not buy a gun where you can keep getting ammo for it and pack a punch it with all of the points you have saved not wasting on the box. I’m quite partial to pack a punching the MP40 and AK74U, however sooner or later you or a teammate might want to think about gambling on the box a few times.

We hope that these 5 simple tips help you out a little, if you have any questions let us know in the comments section below.
