Call of Juarez: The Cartel – New trailer shows ‘co-opetition’

We provided our readers with a number of new details for the upcoming Techland-developed Call of Juarez: The Cartel game last week, including the fact that players will not only have to co-operate with their team mates, but also compete against them.

As we mentioned in our previous article, this is something that the developer is calling ‘co-opetition.’ We now have some more interesting news as according to Sehran over at; a brand new trailer has just been released online that shows off the ‘co-opetition’ side to the game.

Although the team’s main objective is to work together in order to take down the Cartel leader Juan Mendoza, each of the three characters — Eddie Guerra, Kim Evans and Ben McCall — also have their own agendas such as loyalty, revenge and even debt.

As players progress through the game they will need to feed their character’s demons, which sometimes includes not going along with the team’s plans. The video shows us how the characters can receive their very own secret missions to complete such as stealing someone’s wallet.

The idea being that you can’t get caught by your team mates. Doing so will see you fail your secret mission. The Call of Juarez: The Cartel game will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Will you be buying it?
