There are high hopes for Call of Juarez: The Cartel, but it seems that the game is set to disappoint, and it is the graphics that is to blame the most for this. We already discussed how the franchise was never about the graphics, so thought that we would take a look at some of the other areas of the game. In this analysis we will look at why the game lacks creativity.
The story is not perfect, as you are no longer on the lookout for gold. In a way to make things more interesting your life will now be about guns, drugs and money. The Cartel uses these three things to instill fear and power — much like is used in real life today then. The good part about this story is how you will have to try and stop the Cartel for partaking in these activities.
You will take control of one of three characters in this FPS and will have to perform a number of challenges. You have to use all three of these characters and make them work with each other in order to complete the goals that have been set out for you. We cannot see anything special here; only time will tell what players think.
One thing that will make the game better is with the different multiplayer modes. You will need to customize your chosen character to help you compete in a death match amongst others. To help yourself get further in the game you will need to unlock certain items, such as weapons etc. There is a choice of 18 maps where up to 12 players can participate.
It is not all bad though, as the game is more for the older player, and they will be able to move behind such issues. Take the graphics, this has not harmed Black Ops in any way, and we know how much the graphics got slated in that game. Ubisoft has taken a big risk with this game, as they have taken the best of the Wild West and tried to bring it to modern day.
